When you’ve got a lot of folded clothes, you want lots of drawers, so how about this? 4 standard and 2 large drawers, in a side-by-side fashion. Doing it this way means it’s a lot more stable, and safe for small family members. You then have that lovely pattern cut top surface too, it’s just crying out to be filled with a TV or some photos, or perhaps a vanity mirror. Actually, it’s big enough for all of the above.
In waxed pine with black ironmongery, and with glued and dovetailed drawer fronts, this will last for ever if looked after properly. Ideally get a friend to help you build it, and allow about ¾ of an hour. You will need some screwdrivers and a hammer, that’s it. The corner bolt heads are fake, so you can chose to leave them off if you wish.
