Here’s a great idea for a couple with not much space to spare. Use it from the back with the leaf folded down and your knees won’t bang on it. For more formal dining, pull it out, lift the leaf up and dine at your leisure. The stools fit right inside the base of the table as shown, if you can be bothered every time. The drop leaf rests on a gate leg when in use, so there’s no issues with stability, and it increases the depth of the table to 72 cm.
